Katie Kung is a researcher and writer working in the intersection of environmental humanities, STS and political ecology. Her doctoral project (Rachel Carson Center, LMU Munich) examines violent care, ecological visions and the concept of invasive species–viewing it as a reflection of manifold multispecies relationships. She enjoys destabilising ideas, but she is even more intrigued by what happens after we have acquiesced to nuances, and why; in other words, how to stay with the trouble in practice and in ideas.
She teaches seminars in environmental humanities and conservation history.
She is the executive content editor of Environmental History Now.
